How can I make my tracks sound full?

Hi all, So I'm making anything from slow R&B to rap beats but the problem I have is, although the tracks are good they feel empty. How can I make my beats sound full? Obvously I'm leaving space for vocals but I'd like them to sound full without adding loads off sounds / percussion .

Any information would be appreciated.
