I also mix on Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 ohm. My only qualm originally was with the bass response but after the initial few months of use I can now compensate for this. Well worth a try for the reasonable price.

I like the Audio Technique ATH MT 50. Have been using the same pair for 5 years now. Still strong.
AKG or Sennheiser’s all the way in that price range.. But the biggest difference in mixing will be if they are half open or closed! i suggest you try both.
I find the Beyerdynamics the best of them all.
I have the 990 Pro (This one sounds better than the Premium IMO)
But i heard the 880 is the best, i'm thinking about selling the 990 Pro and get the 880 instead. I heard it's the best of them all for mixing.

The 'Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro' is perfect for mix and mastering. He is known to be 'neutral'. A good choice and not very expensive.![]()
Yeah I use the AudioTechnica M50X and I love them so far. Really clean feedback, but I don't have much to compare to. lol

I would get Sennheiser, cause even when model of them costs not so much - anyway it can provide pretty nice quality of sound.
Audeze LCD-1
Absolutely FANTASTIC.
They blow all the others mentioned into oblivion for mixing & mastering. Honestly, check them out, and search for the Scan Pro Audio video comparing LCD-1 and Sen 650
