quick question about ripping video from a dvd

I have another quick question regarding some video stuff I'm working on right now. My band got a video back from a studio we played live at a couple weeks ago. It was pretty sweet they premixed all the levels before the set and used some hi def cameras to record it. They then streamed it on I believe Air Radio, so all in all it was a kick ass night.

Anyways I got the dvd back from it and I'm trying to convert the .bup, .ifo, .vom files into a regular avi file, like how the torrents for movies are done online. It's for the sake of cutting it up and posting it on the bands website.

Anyone know a good way to do this?

search cnet or zdnet for a dvd to avi converter, there many free one's out there that will do the job. can't think of any off top, but i remember using imtoo to convert stuff to something that was uploadable.

DVDfab decryptor works great for any (NTSC)DVD to any format. Or you could play it in a dvd player and capture the composite output.
