when you get started you should not learn how to produce from other people . This will be hard but when you learn how to produce on your own you will over come sounding like other people . Your own sound will start to show by its self and you will find it faster

Are you intending to learn production and what are your personal motivations for doing so? If you can't answer this why did you come to the forum? Understand that many of the producers that are idolized regardless of genres and eras have one thing in common: They learned from others and took what they learned and applied it to create music.
