vocal recording on cool edit

my homeboy freestyles on my beats with a cheap mic and with cool edit pro 2.1 and i was wondering if there anyways so u can make the recording sound clearer and better what im doing right now is reducing the hiss and putting my beat on top of his vocals but if theres anything better than tell me please

i use 2 record with cool edit back before it got bought out by adobe, but the type of mic is not going 2 matter when goin through cool edit. Get cheapest mic and have fun. COOl has some decent effects try those for quality enhancement.

So does "COOL" have some sort of magic that makes it not matter ? Hmmm. . . can it also remove vocals ? Must be something spectacular !
