Hello all,
I am a keys player and I have a ton of MIDI loops that I've created over the years. I am interested in compiling them into some loop sample packs, but would like to know if I can use plugin or hardware presets to do so. I would NOT be selling the presets.
For example, I have a Yamaha Motif that has a ton of stock presets onboard. It would be great to build progressions and melodies for my sample loop packs. I also have some soft synth plugins with presets I'd like to use. I would also be running all of these sounds through compressors and time-based effects, to put my own spin on them.
Does anyone have any knowledge regarding the legality of what I'd like to do? I'd like to know before I get too far in.
Thanks,
Ian
