Record labels accepting demos via AIM

Find that funny do you.

Already got some good contacts to send demos to via AIM just looking for more.

LOL at naivity

never heard of this... sounds pretty shady to me.... but to each his own....

wtf... that's retarded. No serious label would ever do business thru AIM. That is so unprofessional. All they'll do is DL your beats and then use them as if they were theirs.

actually a guy i know got signed to metalheadz (worlds biggest DnB label) by sesnding the demo via AIM

i would guess thats a pretty serious label.

Most have then on 24 hours and auto accept, easy! and saves couple of $$

Just remember, you get what you pay for. Be cheap, you get cheap results.

it always comes down to music
the only advantage is that you would look more professional and grab their attention with a proper portfolio

I'd have to agree with you on this one. Sounds a bit shady bra. What's to stop them from snatchin, chopping, mixing, and taking that beat as theirs? If it was that easy and reliable, U.S. record companies would've adopted that a long time ago...(and we probably wouldn't be hearing tracks like what we got on 50's release, there'd definately be a cheaper solution to choosing tracks). Aside from the 50 bashing, it doesn't sound right.

Suit yourself though, (live and you learn)
