Hello, new here. OGBama recommended this place to me, but it took me a long time to actually start lurking around here, so here I am. Been making hip hop beats (mostly '90s styled boom bap) for about 2 years in FL Studio.

As I mainly make sample-based instrumentals, part of it lies in discovering and reinterpreting music, usually pretty forgotten, obscure stuff from all over the world. The rest of my motivation lies in the fact that with just a few tools and a library of music, I can make tracks I like and find it fun to make beats. Having a good ear and some musical training definitely helped with that.
