need help - FL9 usb midi interface not showing up

iv got a tascam us-144mk2 and an mpc1000. just bought 2 midi cables so im messing around trying to set it up. when i go into midi settings in FL there is nothing in the input list. tried re-scanning midi devices. tried unplugging it and putting it back in. the usb interface shows midi in coming from the mpc. but FL wont pick up the tascam!

Does the Audio input and output work? Can you record for the input sources and is there anything coming out of the Tascam's outputs? If the Tascam's Audio stuff works then it might be that the it's MIDI device isn't compatible with FL or it's broken. If there are any drivers that come with the Tascam, you might want to check them out. Try checking online if there are any drivers. Had the same issues on FL 9 with one of my older keyboards using an M-audio UNO. Solved it by installing the driver from the CD that came with the UNO.
If nothing works, get it back to where you bought it.
