I am a producer who has been producing mostly for local/underground talent over the years...but i am tryingto reach now more of a commercial market with already established artists with the majors...how would i go about compiling a production demo and shopping it off to the majors without it being thrown away for being unsolicited???

Just checking out this thread, peeped the beatminerz interview, just a little confused by the answer:

"Be yourself! Come up with your own identity. Put your own record out and get a buzz poppin. Labels are laughing at cats submitting demos. We shop our **** everyday. I make a new beat tape every month. I drop at least 30 tracks on the beat tape. That's how we get work. "

He says" labels are laughing at cats submitting demos" but can anyone explain the difference between a demo and the "30 track beat tape " that they're shopping "everyday" which is how they "get work". Im confused!
