how to sell beats?

Ive made probably a good 30 ok beats and 8 that i think are very good. Ive been wondering how to get started on selling them. i live in san antonio and want to try to market myself somehow but i dont know how to do it. I go to UT @ San Antonio and i know i can probably start there but what about the rest of the city. How much should i charge for a beat.

Put together a CD of your best beats, if you pass out the CD then I'd put vocal tags over the beats so people will HAVE to call you to buy or use the beats. You can either pass out the CD at local shows or cyphers, or start a page on soundclick.com and try and sell off there.

Start your price at like $100-$200 per beat, that's a good starting price.
 
see im scared that if i put it on a CD and pass them out that theyll just jack it from the cd i pass out....you know....and i would never know.
 
And put a VOCAL TAG over your beats, like every time it loops paste your vocal tag over the beat. Not too loud though, don't make it annoying.
