try layering a few kicks that have different frquency feo that wouldlavours.. also try adding a kick layer that wide wide stereo that wouldnt work on its own.. once layered itll provide that fat bed... in the end treat it with an envelope shaper, and paint a final shape with an eq

A lot of this is just layering and mixing, most people seem to struggle with both starting out but mixing in particular. Change the mindset of mixing everything "loud" to get harder hitting drums, instead mix things a lot lower and adjust things around the drums to lower volume to make the drums pop and stand out more.
