Hey guys. I'm just starting to get into producing and already find myself being serious about it. I have a little bit more free time with school, so I wanted to keep getting better and learn as much as I can. I'm using a MacBook Pro with Logic 9 for recording, mixing, editing, etc. and I just partitioned my hard drive to get Windows 8 along with FL Studio 10. Should be getting a midi keyboard in two weeks and have been watching youtube videos to learn FL Studio lately. I'm taking music theory classes at my college right now and plan on taking piano lessons in the summer to better apply my theory skills (and because I don't know how to play piano). Overall, I'm asking for any resources or tips that may be helpful for a starter? For anyone curious, I'm looking to make beats with multiple influences stemming from jazz, soul, r&b and of course, hip hop. Thanks in advance
