Garage Band vs Logic Pro vs FL Studio

Hi I have recently just started to take my music producing seriously, and I am planning on getting a MacBook Pro as a lot of producers have recommended it to me. What software would you recommend to be the best for music production and what are some good plugins to use? I already have Nexus 2 is there any other good sound plugins apart from this as this is all I know?

Please give me your thoughts on me moving to Mac and on software.

If you're getting a Mac and serious about production then Logic is the obvious choice (for various reasons that should be fairly obvious)
 
Doesn't sound like you've just started taking this seriously! :)
For a Mac, Logic is most popular.
For a windows pc, I'd go with FL. It's what I use.. And some industry professionals..
