Im new to producing and im opening a beat store on my website where you can buy a beat and have it delivered instantly. My question is, should the beats be mastered or not? They sound so much better after mastering, so i feel like they should be as it will increase sales? And also, if an artist wants you to email beats to him, would you send unmastered or mastered? thanks!

I'm not a rapper...
If I were a rapper I'd want the stems for a beat so I could record my vocal; mix to suit and then master as a whole.
Most rappers are not me...

'Most' rappers are going to get what they're given - and they'll buy accordingly.

Short Answer: NO

the most important thing isnt mastering, its headroom in the mix.
beats need room to lay vocals into , yet still sound huge
its is possible to have both at once.

mastering is the last step of a SONG not a beat
Mixing & Mastering is where you mix the vocals and beat together make it clear and punchy and then finalize the mix by "loudifying" the final mix to fit into certain broadcast standards.

but do you fam
