delay in sonar home studi xl 4/soundcards

im using a Realtek HD sound card with Sonar Home Studio 4XL. when i play back midi i record theres a delay and it keeps getting worse. w decided to search through the cakewalk forums to see if anyone else had this problem with the realtek sound card and it looks like they do. w was wondering if anyone can suggest good sound cards that would fix this problem and arent too expensive?
 
anywhere between the 100-300$ price range if thats possible
 
asio4all will fix your latency if thats all your worried about.
If your sampling, and recording a better card would help though.

Not here. It worked almost as good as my echo drivers, and was painless to setup on my system.

Peoples' experience with it seem to vary, but it's worth a try even if your running a good asio card, as some people find it runs even better than thier soundcards asio driver.

For me I can get low latency, but my Echo driver is still the one I always use.
 
my issue was that when i used asio (mostly in reason) i didnt get any audio playback it was a pain
