What does "PGM" stand for?

I have a Gemini BPM-250 mixer at home and I was looking at the cue fader and it looks like:

CUE PGM


Now I know that PGM is sending my headphones exactly what's going through the speakers, but what does it stand for? It also gets very loud as I fade over to "PGM" from "CUE" and I was wondering if this is supposed to happen. Thanx in advance!
 
pgm = ProGram Mix

it controls the amount od program audio in the headphones so that beats can be matched exactly and segues are smooth when a song is queued.
