Im new to djing, I want to start doing parties and what not.. I have a laptop, virtualdj and mixx.... Now my budget is very low for the next couple months so to get me started what do I need (equipment) wise? what do I need to know?
My setup is pretty much the same as yours, equipment wise I used a Numark iDJ3 (essentially a numark mixtrack pro w/ an ipod dock) and just hook that up to my laptop with virtual dj, it lacks some functionality (can only loop up to 8 bars) stuff like that, but for a starter set of tables its pretty sick. Good enough for house parties anyways
