I have heard reports of some CD players not being able to handle the processing power needed to play (some) VBR files. I'm guessing the Denon can crunch through the most demanding VBR files?

    punosion,

Yep, no problem with CBR or VBR.
We support the full bandwidth of 32~320kbps.

Hola. I don't speak Spanish, and generally one should type in English here. Username DENON hasn't logged in since 2007.

Looked at Denon's website for legacy products and it's right there. Denon DJ - Professional DJ Equipment
You need to download and install the latest firmware. Direct download link from Denon is http://b06ba727c886717f9577-fff53f92...9000_v6436.zip

I only use turntables so can't say anything about the update procedure though.
