Logic Stems w/ MPD32 and AbletonLive

Hey,

New here, just had a question for all you ableton heads out there.

I wanted to use the MPD w/ Ableton and do on the fly effects for live shows as well as for songs.

I usually mix down all my songs in logic, would I be able to take my stems from logic and put them into ableton, then use the MPD to be able to loop them and add effects to the individual tracks, all while recording my performance on a separate track?

EX.

I have 8 stems (Drums,Bass,Samples,Synth,Vocal etc.), and I want to be able to re-arrange them and punch them in when needed, all while adding effects.

...........So take my original song, deconstruct it, then re-arrange them in any order I want (while adding effects).

tried to be as clear as I could...

Thanks!!

Yes. This can be done easily. You would have to warp all the files ahead of time to ensure everything is lined up correctly in regards to timing of the loops. (That is, if you want to use the warping function to ensure it stays in time)
