Elektro vs. DJS vs. Whitelabel vs. M44G

Anyone have experience with all four of these models? I have the older generation DJS carts/needles, and the constant poor contact problem is starting to annoy me.

I spin house, and the things I'm curious about include:

-Sound
-Tracking
-Longevity

I won't be a big help with which needle to use for house. I do know that a couple weeks ago there was a really good thread talking about different needles and which application suited them.

I started DJing right when the ortfons came out - so much better than the 680's everyone was using at the time. But right after the 44 came out i heard a demo at my record store of an ortofon vs 44 and the 44 made the ortofon sound like a 40 year old 78 needle. Louder, clearer highs, tighter bass.... M44 it is.
 
Yeah....I never really hear too much hating on the M44s. Good setup for sure. :)

cartridge/stylus choice really depends on a number of factors, to the least of which is mixer choice and desire for sound quality.

as far as the relationship between mixer and cart goes, the choice cart will differ if using a Bozak as compared to a Rane or vestax mixer.

I do disagree that the 680ELs sound like crap though, IMO when running my Bozak, the 680s sound better than the Ort NCs

I use the Rane Empath, FYI.

Also, I've never dealt with a mounted headshell cart, so I have no idea how to proceed. In fact, I don't even own headshells....I bought my 1200s used and they came with the DJS carts. Is it an easy & quick process to learn?
