I have a couple of questions about internet hustle and I'm sure many of you do (especially beginners).

So I decided to make a Q&A. All people with question on internet hustle, put them up here and if you can answer one of the questions, feel free to do so. Vets (Troup, win tip, andrew, H&R ect.), we need you in this.

Let's keep this civil and as informative as possible.

Here's my questions.

1. Do you guys get you music professionaly mixed before you put your music up, or do you just export your tracks from your sequencer and upload them?

2. How do you manage to stand out from the million and one people who make the same music and hustle the same way?

3. Where can I get good, affordable logos for my site?

1. No, no need to at this point ...As long as we have a good mixdown
were fine. Until we have a deal on the table (Small indie deal in the
works) and are putting out an actual 100% official fully professional
recorded and pushed project I see no need to. Once we land the deal
all of the current songs will not be used and new material will be
recorded ... As long as everything sounds acceptable and has a good
mix were fine.

2. Networking with the right people and knowing which sites you
need to get on to be visible and noticed ... Example : Allhiphop.com,
HipHopGame.com, HipHopDX.com, NahRight.com, Illroots.com, etc

my whole game plan to this was EXPOSURE and PERCEPTION

make it look like your doing it big, even if your not (not saying that im not.. i really am haha)

but get yourself a nice professional page, keep all the wack spam comments off your myspace, get a nice lil Bio or list of credits up.

if i think your doing it big, ima holla at you, before a dude that has a myspace page, loaded up wit porn spam comments, and a slow page and a wack name like Mon3YGe3ttaz ENT, and all his gun totin homies on his top friends

now as far as exposure.. i think everybody who comes on FP knows who i am, whether they want to or not.. the post count thing is CRAZY, i have over 15000 hits on my PMP page, and ive had it since June.

another thing is go on different forums.. people post up all sorts of opprotunities, i've linked up wit dudes from other rap forums, got my name out there.. i may not be a SUPER producer or somethin, but as long as one person knows me and can spread the word.. thats a W for me.

also, pay attention to these hip hop blogs, the owners are easy to reach, and blogs are the way of the future

dont be afraid to build relationships and give free beats to cats who are DOING it and are willing to credit you, and push WITH you

im workin on joints for Nice's artist, and anything else he might need i got him

same wit Mike Waxx's artist J.Rocwell (the one wit talent), i always got him wit beats

and hopefully these relationships will help.. so that when these cats are on labels wit crazy budgets haha they can reach back, and break bread and ****

thats my lil take on the whole internet grind

i havent made SUPER crazy money like some of the dudes sellin beats on soundclick or what not.. but at least my presence is growing everyday

as far as the mixing situation

just post up music to the best mix possible, dont go super crazy, i wouldnt go paying for it.. but its good to have atleast a decent mix.. presentation is everything

I do what they're NOT doing.

I can get mine FREE (connections all over the place), but tons of places can get you a great logo.

oh yea, be professional wit your ****, when reaching out to people

like if i kno u from FP, cool go ahead, act a fool and what not.. but if u dont kno me, and ur typin: Lik3 Diz?, thats not a good look , ****s annoying as hell, and hard as **** to read

also be aware, that artists.. are being artists.. if they dont respond to you, they will.. they get millions of messages, same wit A & Rs and managers

even i get overwhelmed wit messages and e-mails and ****, and im nobody important.. so imagine an artist or somebody like that.

also remember these cats are human, and some are JERKS.. and that sometimes u gotta swallow your pride, because it can work out in the long run..

and dont be willing to get down with EVERYBODY that presents you an opprotunity, ive turned down lots of things just because:

1. the person involved may seem TOO shady
2. i just wasnt ready
3. my music wasnt good for the project

i'd rather give somebody from FP an opprotunity to shine, then to look bad on my part by giving in a wack beat, or a out of place beat on a project.

i kno i kinda went off subject, but.. u kno its all good and all ties in together and ****

im not even tryna start beef in this thread or none of that, but im sure the OP is gonna ask WHAT exactly is that, and how your exactly getting heard and how are you standing out from millions
 
Please don't listen to anything Justin Rockwell says ... He is far
from having any creditability and should not be giving any advice.
He just watches what Kanye West does then imitates in a failed manner.

No problems with you JR ... But your really not doing anything to be giving advice.

I"ll be honest, I'm not good at making logos, but I have contact list FULL of folks that owe me favors and/or will do it for FREE.

I responded to this civilized and this is what I get....

your right, what you posted here isnt bad but what u post everywhere else is bad... dont try to make urself look like an angel cause in one post u didnt bash nobody... if u really want to be liked here, all u gotta do is stay in ur own business, if u dont like something just dont even answer to the topic. and stop thinking your the ****.
