Hello there FP, here is a question for ya'll...

Are there any OPENLY gay or lebian music producers that are sucessful out there tha you know of. I ask this because I want do an essay on the topic of homosexuality in music.

Please reframe from using any offensive language about gay folk in this thread. I got friends and family that are gay and I feel it is abit offensive to bash someone's sexuality. Just as bad as bashing someone's race. It is just not called for.

So leave your thoughts and tell me what you know on the subject..

PEACE

Nope. Not that I know of. Other producers wouldn't care though. Now if it was a rapper, then people will start picking up flaming titanium pitchforks with crosses and holy water attached to a MIDI controller.

Most female producers are lesbian it seems and they are very open about the fact but I can't say that I know of any male producer that is openly gay. I think why it would be an issue for a male producer to come out the closet because dudes would feel uncomfortable in the studio with a gay dude, not knowin if he checkin you out ish like that.

Who cares? why do people make such a big deal about homosexuality?! It just engourges their need for attention even more stop giving them validation and see how many stick around.

Homosexuality in music.... wth, its music, homosexuality has nothing to do with it.... if this is your own project get a life, if this is a school project tell your teacher to get a life, if this is your gay sisters idea tell her to stop being an attention whore and get a life. Tell her to stop looking to other people for acceptance and find peace within herself.

I have worked with a Gay singer before. Never was I hit on or whatever. Seems like homophobia to me...

But no I don't know any gays in HipHop, I think though it probably has something to do with I only associate with sincerely original individuals , people that don't feel the need to remind you at every turn that they are gay so if they were gay I probly wouldn't know. Not because they are ashamed but because they know that doesn't define you its only preference.

The same nonsense you are saying could be said for any ethnic group that was looked at as a "problem". Blacks, latinos, jews, the irish, the polish, germans, italiians, japanese, korean, the list can go on and on....

I am writing it as an essay on homosexuality in music because folks either want silence or want to hang them. I want to figure out what runs through folks minds about the subject, and not sweep it under the rug.

Its not about sweeping it under the rug and where do you get off comparing sexual preference to race?! That is the dumbest **** I've ever heard.

Sexual preference is the equivelent of watching hardcore MILF porn or softcore teen porn. Gay is only a decision...

Race is where you come from.

You are born black or white or whatever you are not born gay...

Exactly, it is homophobia. Me peronally could care less as long as we have an understanding to not come at me with that. It would be wack to pass up an opportunity to work with someone who is dope just because he or she had a same sex preference.

For the record, yes, the industry is full of homosexuals. They get caught in cars with drag queens, they run trains on broads and in the process feel up their homeboy, they kiss other men on the mouth, they wear clothing that only gays and women wear, they take pics that look like the ad in this thread, the get f**ked in proson doing their bids, they were molersted as kids, they get off watching porns and talking about the guy in it instead of the girl, they f**k other men in studios, they are former strippers, they f**k men for record deals, they blackball openly gay rappers who would put them on blast, and swear books that groupies write about their homo tendencies are lies. That's about 30% of the artists in your CD changers.

Most of these rap dudes is funny style, but when you say it, people just deny it and cover it up whenever it's exposed. Sad thing is, these gay dudes got hip hop fans running around doing homo sh*t without even realizing it.

If that is the dumbest **** you have ever heard, I guess you didnt even read your original comment on the subject. Sexuality is important to our daily lives, just as race is. Think about it, here in the US ever thing is about money, sex, and race. Just go watch Fox News or CNN and you will see what I mean. Who ****ing who, politicans sex lives, pregnant tranny man, and the war in Iraq. Maybe I should only talk about Lil Wanye's next mixtape on here from now on.....
