Does anyone know how I can get Nielsen Soundscan sales info? Occasionally I’ll read a forum or a blog by some average Joe, and they’ll quote sales data. I always wonder how they got it. I was under the impression you had to be in the industry to register to get it? Is there an easy (and inexpensive) way to get this information?
Also, please note I’m not looking to see the standard Billboard Top 200 type information. No, I’m interested in seeing the sales data that Billboard does not show you, like the folks way down the list. I’m also interested in stuff like retrieving old sales data for lesser known artist, and pulling old sales info for various artists from years past. Anybody got any suggestions?
