I swear some of these artists have some of the worst accountants ever. And if they don't have an accountant they should go get one, because I keep hearing about people being broke and owing back taxes

although she sold a lot of records and made lots of money on paper it would help to know what percent of that she was intitled to.You have to also take in account that she didn't really capitalize on her fame.seems like she went underground and had all them babies without putting out any new material. The album won her 5 grammys but that wasn't going to last forever as the industry was starting to change back then. it would seem that if were not killing each other( in hiphop) were going to jail for tax evasion. sure other folks do it as well but lately it seems to be rappers and singers (wesley snipes not withstanding).
