How do I use it? I mean............Do I now put my music pro tools, reason, & fl software on there, like in a copy & paste method? I've heard countless times that I need to get an external hard drive for my laptop, but now I'm stuck.

Can a brother get some help??????????

lol...really...like really? Aight hook it up...open up "my computer"..you should see it pop up if it's plug and play;click on it's respective icon. Then, when it pops up...open up another "my computer" and copy and paste whatever you want in the drive into it's window.

Your post count explains your life (or lack thereof) I just learned about this site not too long ago & am just becoming more active. I don't make FP my 1st priority when I get home.

And be patient. I haven't even downloaded the acapella yet. I make moves and have a schedule to keep up with, so embarrassing you any further than you already embarrass yourself w/your posts is my LAST concern.

you can use copy and paste, but i personally prefer drag & drop.

never INSTALL software on that drive...

always INSTALL software onto your primary HDD (C: for Windows)

use the external HDD for STORAGE & ARCHIVAL.

Preciate that. But just to make sure, once I've dragged & dropped, should I remove it from my laptop? Or keep it?

and since you're using a laptop, record to your primary HDD...but then when you're finished recording, back up your sessions to your external HDD.

(normally we are supposed to record to a SECONDARY INTERNAL HDD...but most laptops don't have two separate HDD's in them.)

Like I said, I haven't been on here that long, and I've been focused more on perfecting my craft musically, as opposed to storage & things like that. I'm taking care of it now that I realize the importance though.

But I've seen random posts by this "rome" dude, &..................he's proven to be one of those e-thugs who really just hates. PBP.

It all started cause he posted a beat for feedback in that thread u started, & didn't like the feedback I gave. Ever since then...................he's embodied the "pussification" he so passionately debates over.

So whenever he goes into to his Clitoral mode, I laugh, reply, & keep it moving. I'm done replying, though, cause when a wise man & a fool argue...............................
