What to you think about Melbourne Bounce?

My question, since the first time I heard "Melbourne Bounce", is what the **** is the difference between Big Room and Melbourne Bounce?

To my ears, Big Room is like those bangers (Tsunami, Animals, etc) and Melbourne Bounce more like the famous Djuro Remix on Trumpsta, much more swing and 4-on-the-floor bass rythm?
Am I wrong? Then that video doesn't sound that much like MB...

Anyway, if it's what I think it is, I prefer MB over BR, though none of them are really my taste.
BR sounds so cheap and primitive to my ears, and shouldn't even be considered House music (it has more in common with Hardstyle than with House).

Melbourne bounce...interesting!

Well, like all genres there's always going to be positives and negatives. There's gonna be the songs which sound like everything else, or there's gonna be artists which every single release of their's will sound the same; but that doesn't mean the whole genre is that way. I quite like Melbourne bounce, it's catchy and usually quite cheerful/energetic, but I do believe some of the tracks which come out of that genre are quite half arsed produced, but again, that happens in every genre. I like the typical sounds used in Melbourne bounce, the quite rave-like lead on the melody and the snare's used in the snare rolls/fills.

I don't follow the genre but it would be interesting to hear someone spice the genre up a little; use different sounds or use a different approach to structure. It does sound like most Melbourne tracks use the same sounds and structure (structure mainly being the problem, over sound) But I could be wrong, people could already be doing that but I am just un-aware?

Overall, yeah, like the genre most of the tracks sound similar but it could just be what I've heard. Not sure if it will claim mainstream attention like "EDM" has over the past few years, but I reckon it'll take over the Festival DJ scene like Big Room did!

From Melbourne, Will Sparkes is the leading light in Melb Bounce

And my darling DJ, Nick Panlook/Nickelodeon - also had been producing bounce, but has moved on - with minimal and now focusing on psytrance.
Nick is a total musician, is a talented drummer, and bounce bored him after a short while.
Nick has just been signed to the same agents as Will Sparkes, and is booked for some European gigs in May.

Melbourne - is a hotbed of talented young musicians and producers and DJs, they are spookily talented and so young.

(You may be interested to know that a lot of these guys also used to have dance offs, when they were about 13, doing the Melbourne shuffle - Redfoo stole those moves about 10 years later.)
