There are various tempos you can use from 80-85 BPM is popular for them real mellow tracks. Uplifting beats to dance is usually 87-98 BPM. Many roots tracks vary from 130 -160 BPM.

    Hi,

I usually use around 130-160 bpm for my reggae beats, or maybe it is what you call 65-80 bpm (I do not matter, as far as my skank is at the good tempo)
