PAYPAL-Creating Business Account for Selling Beats!

:hello: I'm just wondering what do most people use when Paypal asks, "What type of business is it?"

Individual/Sole Proprietorship
Partnership
Corporation
Non-Profit Organization
Government Entity

Obviously not the last 2 options, and I know it should probably be the "Individual/Sole Proprietorship".

I know there is a certain amount of TAXES that come with this. I've never done taxes, but I saw another producer saying "Use the 1099 form."

have you registered your business as a legal entity? the type of registration will tell you what you have "declared" yourself to be

if you have yet to register I suggest that you do as you will also get a breakdown of the type of taxes you become liable for as well as other advice and guidance on how to conduct your business

Honestly, I haven't even come up with a name yet. I'm a little "slow" on this music business thing. Lol. I'm still trying to figure everything out, and see what are the main things I should be spending my money on.

But, how do I register it after I come up with a name?
 
each state and country has its own business registration requirements - check with your local business "bureau"
