Character in Spades...
Musicians, DJ’s, Comedians, Magicians, Entertainers and Performers of All Kinds; Broadcasters, Producers, Engineers, Studio & LiveSound Techs—We need your Gig Stories!! We have a new podcast in pre-production that will focus on the whacky world of music, entertainment and media. These stories often focus on “gigs from hell” aspects, but it’s not necessary that your story has to be about a bad gig, as long as it’s about a memorable gig. It could be a live performance, a studio session, or a back-stage event. Something that happened opening-up for a major artist on tour, or something that happened at a wedding at the local VFW. Tell us the who, what, when, where, why, and how of your memorable gig story—maybe it was a disaster, maybe you thought it was going to be and then it turned-out great. Maybe you met someone famous and had a “brush with greatness,” or there was something else completely surprising and unexpected. Tell us about it. Your story may be selected to be featured in our new podcast, and we may even want to interview you to give us all of the pertinent details. Bear in mind, these stories will be accepted based on uniqueness, but should not include elements that might enter into anything beyond “PG-13” territory; we want the entire family to be able to enjoy the stories you’ll have to share. So send us an e-mail with an outline of your story and your name and contact information, or write the whole story for one of our hosts to share on the show. Send your true gig stories to: RhythmGJ@Hotmail.com, with the subject line “True Gig Story.” We’ll be looking forward to hearing from you!
