Using plug-ins in Cool edit

how can i get downloaded free ware plugins to be used in cool edit
like i found a site on here with mad plugs.. tryin to increase sound quality and use effects in cool edit does any one know how

I seem to recall that CoolEdit didn't have VST support at all - just DirectX, which is pretty much obsolete by now. There are/were VST-to-DX wrappers that allow regular VSTs to used in DirectX-only programs such as this, but I reckon they only work with oldish VST1.0 plugins; most modern VSTs are 2.4 or 3.0 by now.

Yep. It has full VST implementation these days.
