R&B Bass VST?

What VST out there is good for bass in R&B music? thank you!

What do you already have(Mac/PC, which DAW)? Do you want something dedicated to a specified sound, or do you want a module that can cover a wide range of basses? That can dictate which direction you want to go in. There's good sample packs for Kontakt, Refills, vsts, ect. that can get the job done, but there's tons of options depending on what you want.

SampleTank FREE has a few and Miroslav Philharmonik has some great ones.

Anything with bass sounds on board can produce a great bass sound with the right processing. I would focus on getting the right tone shaping plug ins and worry less about onboard sounds. That said go grab Amplitube Free and run some of the bass sounds you already have through it.

i was using the Jimmy Hendrix pack on my return the other day and ran some drums into it. Sounds amazingly gritty when done correctly. Of course i had to turn down some of the spring reverbs lol

Ahh I bet that sounded cool. I haven't used AmpliTube 3 for drums yet. Now I'm off to make a beat just to experiment!
