I own Pro Tools mpowered 8 and mpd 18. i dont have the money to shell out for a mpc yet.. anyone recommend a certain software for sampling/chopping/slicing samples and loading em onto the pads?

use Wavosaur or Audacity for editing samples and use Poise and Short Circuit 1.1.2 to load them onto pads and layer etc. used Audacity for recording samples too.

ableton live is really dope, probably my favorite daw for this type of workflow.

fl studio can get the job done for sure dont let the name fool you.

reason + recycle is the method of some die hard props fans.

I own a mpc and i am also comfortable
in each of these (most daws for that matter) daws. pick your poison, they all get the job done.
