in the past two days i have encountered this issue in Fl studio. When i try to record midi in the step sequencer or drag a note to four bars, when it usually hit the marker and loop back around, it goes past the point where it should loop back to the begining, a whole whole extra bar..... usally when i had this problem, its because i had midi notes that went past the desired bar or measure, in wich i simply just had to erase and it wold loop back at the end of the bar
.(im usung serato sample vst if this helps) and i cant make a beat like this.... also my quantize does not seem to work! help

Do you have a legit (i.e. purchased from the company) version of FL Studio?

Make sure you're set to pattern mode and not song mode.

Also make sure that you set the note length correctly (the magnet icon in the piano roll)

You can also use the cut tool (press C with the piano roll open) to hack off the end of the note. Hold shift while doing this to line up the cut to the grid.
