Piano Roll in Sonar

Does the piano roll in sonar work the same way as the Fruity Loops piano roll? Ive used fruity loops for a while but i would like to switch to sonar and I saw it has a piano roll, and I wondered if it worked the same way as the fruity loops piano roll?

but why switch if you've only scratched the surface of FL? (I use both, btw)

If you mean, Does the piano roll change the instruments pitch, for example like in the snare roll, it's not the same. It depends on which vst you used. The piano roll in Sonar doesn't have the same sampling capabilities as FL. Overall, the piano roll is the same as far velocity,etc are concern. I also use both.
