There is some midi plug in in cubase you can use for that.
It wasn't that good back when I used cubase though, but they might have improved it since 5.
cubase can do anything that FL can do and it is even easier to use than fl
in reason it is called blocks, in cubase it is the arrange window. This has been a standard feature of cubase from day 1 back before the invention of vsts. That is because cubase is developed from the Pro24 and Pro16 and Pro12 codebase originally developed for the atariST computer series, where the pattern arranging feature was a requisite to working with music for some in that dark distant place known as 1987......
protools may well have it as well, but a protools fiend would have to answer for you.....
