MPC1000 as midi controller in Reason 5

hello.

i'm trying to control reason's kong with my MPC1000 as a midi controller. When i try and set up an akai surface, the mpc1000 is not in the reason set-up presets. if i use any of the mpd settings, the 1000 will trigger the kong, but pad one of the mpc will control say, pad 5 on the kong, 2 on the MPC will control pad 4 on the kong and so on...

does anybody know how do you assign the pads accurately?

I actually have the same question and those videos don't help me much b/c they are dealing with the mpc 2500.

Have an mpc1000 and have been using it for awhile but I like reason's Kong
want to use the mpc1000 as a midi controller to play with Kong

can anyone tell me how to set that up?
