MPC Like Sampling in Reason

The mpc lets assign a sample to each pad and then if you want, you can lock onto a specfic and sample and each pad plays that same sample at a different pitch/speed. Is there a way to do this in Reason 6 with one machine?

you can do it with the nn-19. Just open your sample and its automatically mapped across you keys/pads.

Kong specifically, does this! definitely doesn't compare to MPC, but its a shot. Theres a few MPC combinator patches floating the web too, that give you note repeat and time stretch features.

I gave it a shot for about a year until i saw the new line of MPC's dropping, but i couldn't wait for the drop date and caved in for a Maschine instead! Definitely worth a shot if you got some extra funds =]

What do you mean of course it does, youtube has some tutorials that will walk you through the set-up.

So you have to set it all up manually. What's the point? just do it in the NN-19.

i get what your saying but then that takes away the actual MPC feel hes going for.

Yeah I hear that. Just seems like a lot of effort in order to pretend you're using an MPC. Especially when the mpc has 16 levels at the push of a button.

Kong does this and I'd say it smokes the MPC... IMO.
