Anyone with the basic fl version that costs 99$ and manages to make good hiphop beats?
And if so, do yall have a problem with a feature you need and isn't included in this version?

some important features are missing, i think it's missing audio interface connectivity, and its missing a lot of vsts/plugins. if you have drum kits with good sounds and clean free virtual instruments, you can do some stuff for sure. you'll have to discount shop/browse around for free drum kits and sample packs, instruments, etc.

Used to use that a long time before upgrading to producer as an early bday gift.
Functions the same just missed a few stock plugins and you can only paint audio with prod and up in playlist.
all versions of daws work with interfaces

Every edition outputs Audio through any interface, so yes interface. Fruity Edition just lacks recording.
You saying "it's missing audio interface connectivity" would mean that you couldn't use an external USB interface and its low latency ASIO output, what simply isn't true.

lol what's the point of just outputting through an interface? ..lol that doesn't do anything useful. just plug the speakers into your computer. If you can't record analog to digital input, and interface is basically useless.

Shorter latency (the time that passes when you press a key on a MIDI controller until you hear it through your speaker) because of proper ASIO drivers
    Better audio quality
    Multiple Audio Outs

    ...just to name a few

lol, alright well when you can't record anything on your xlr microphone, or from a guitar, bass, or a real synth, ...enjoy your multiple audio outs tho (what's the point of sending multiple outs when you can't record multiple ins?). those reasons are not why ppl buy interfaces but okay,

    Mixing on external consoles.

those reasons are not why ppl buy interfaces but okay,

Those reasons are actually exactly why people use audio interfaces.

Computers and/or Laptops have finicky 3,5mm mini jacks and more often than not use cheap, noisy DACs.
Plus - proper ASIO drivers for lower latency, like already mentioned

mixing on external consoles...? wtf then why do you have a daw?

im pretty sure the reason ppl buy audio interface is so the new big mumble rapper, Lil' DAC, can record his raps on a microphone. ....not mix on external consoles. but Lil DAC probably uses a USB microphone so it doesn't even matter.
