    best bass VI ?

Hi folks, looking for a nice bass VI. I would rather not go buy a vintage Fender jazz or P-Bass + Mic Pre, etc. It would be great to add some buttery bass via keys. I've heard great things about Trillian and ideally would like something super high res + easy to use

Trillian is your best bet. If you don't have that much hard drive space at the moment, I'd also recommend Papen's SubBoomBass as a replacement.

Trillian is easily the best bas vsti tho

Trilian has sampled bass and snth bass over 2000 presets. The Fender Jazz bass that comes with it takes up around 1GB of ram due to the articulations and high quality samples and it already has fx racks built in so it's go to go soon as you load it.

If you ask this question for any other instrument.. it's impossible to give a clear answer.

But luckily you asked about bass guitar lol.

This is the only instrument where there is one clearcut winner for "Best VST" haha. Trillian pretty much gets that nod. There's no real competition for it. And that's crazy... b/c the bassline is arguably the most important part of the song.
