where can I download new patch for rolan jp8000?

I'm interested too.
Since I have my SNII, I haven't used my JP-8080 anymore.
Sound modelling possibilities are unlimited on the SNII, where the JP's are in a certain way.
But maybe some good patches can change my opinion ??

I own a JP-8080 and it kicks *** but i'm wondering how you'd load new "patches" onto it. No disk drive. No PC interface. So, unless you have the hardware to encode those little flash cards (which i'm sure doesn't exist for practical home use) then you're pretty much set with what you can write on the unit. I'd sooner try to find patch "diagrams" so that you can set your 8080 or 8000 to someone else's patch. A little more time consuming but a least you learn a bit from, manually setting the knobs!!

You can load/send patches in two different ways:

* by sysex messages; the JP8000/8080 sends midi messages to the midi sequencer, and you can store that in a midi (.mid) file; to restore from the sequenser, simply play the midi file
(see your manual on p. 137 under "bulk dump" for more details)

* there exist some programs that do the work automatically (and easier in use):

I use WinJPlib : you can download a PC version at http://www.pulsation.f9.co.uk/jp8000/downloads/winjplib.zip
You have to download that; very very handy !! :victory:
