VST instrument in Cubase

Hi,

I have problems to install all kinds of vst instrments in Cubase.

Actually I manage to install it (I mean that I manage to have the instrument shown next to the rack expander) but there aren’t any sounds out when I try to play the VSTi with my keyboard.

Although I’ve selected a value of preroll higher than the value’s latency and that I’ve selected the right output in the arrangement’s screen, I don’t manage to have a mixer channel with my VST instrument shown.

Furthermore, when I select the VST instrument in the rack expander by pressing the edit button, a screen says : « no more mixer channels ! »

What should I do ?

Give me some explanations ‘cause I don’t sleep anymore (and forgive me for my bad english… I’m a poor french !)

Thanks.

Charly

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but you have to direct one of your midi tracks to point to the VST.

You do this by clicking on the far right block of the track in the main editor. There it gives you options to direct the midi to a hardware synth, VST instrument etc.

Form there you can go ahead and record a new part with your keyboard
