Paia products? esp. FatMan?

hey,

because I am really incredibly cheap, and because I like to build stuff, I am thinking of building my own synth through a kit from Paia electronics...

I am thinking about FatMan... because it's cheap, and it's analog, and it sounds pretty good.

So... I was wondering if anybody out here had experience with Paia, or specifically FatMan...

it seems pretty good, almost good to be true. An analog, monophonic, MIDI controlled synth for $150 and an investment of some of your own time...

About the only downfall that I can find is that it doesn't include an LFO, but I have an Electrix Filter Queen that I can hook up and use that for LFO filter control...

So... any opinions... or experiences?

you could buy a readymade monophonic analogue synth for that money, with its own lfo and keyboard:
the novation bassstation is not as bad as everyone seems to think!
