    Hey every One,
    what do the hell these Occilators do, they are havin many functions. cansomebody explain me what are they. I'll be happy to recieve u're answers.

    It's hard to explain with my poor english.

    An Oscillator is the soundsource of modeling synthesizers.
    Consider it like a string on a guitar.
    A guitar string moves in a way similar to a sine wave. (but not quite)

    Thus, a Osc on a Synth creates a soundsignal which can be further processed.
    A sawtooth Oscillator, moves up and down like the blade of a saw. /\/\/\/\

    A square wave moves like this:
    _ _
    |_| |_| |

    These are the basic waveforms on a synth. On the supernova you create a sine-wave by softening a Square wave, but that's another story.

    Once tuned, you can create Strings and pads and the lot by combining and modyfying the signal of these oscillators.

    yes chriss is right.. let me add this: it is something that produces a vibration powerful enough that the human can hear it

    Thanks chriss and ManoOne, for telling me the OC, now i'am playin with the OCC. in fruityloops. they are quite good to produce Phat sounds. any more wave forms.
