    MicroKorg xl, Roland SH-201 or Korg R3

    Im new to using synthesizers i have $700 saved up and im not sure which one to buy(im leaning towards the Roland SH-201). I dont want to go to guitar center undecided because the sells men would sell there own mothers for that comission check please help :confused:

    In my opinion I would go with the sh-201. I don't know much about them, but they do sound great.

    Would you mind buying something used? You can get an Access Virus C for less than $700 these days. I would stay away from the SH-201, by the way. You would probably be better off using VST's than that thing. Same goes for the R3. Check out Massive from Native Instruments if you want something similar in a software package:
