Saving a sequence on my MPC1000

Every time a save a seq. and turn off the MPC, and come back later turn on the MPC load the seq. i was working with i have to upload all the programs, samples ect.. on the pad it was originally on. this proccess is frustrating me since sometimes I dont remember what pad i use for each sample?\\\ Please help
 
that isnt right man, how are u saving it, are you saving each sound individually or are you saving a whole program. if you are just saving the sounds individually that aint right, go to 'save a program and sounds' instead. i hope this helps, thats what you do on a 2000xl anyways.
 
Thanks Terminal, found the answer on page 78 of the manual, the thing is that when you get inspiration the manual is the last thing you want to look at jejejeje!!!!

SAVE: ENTIRE MEMORY

save the entire memory to a folder. each folder is a song/project

the mpc1000 is very fast at loading even large projects, so it's easier to just load and save entire memory each time
