Pro tools 6.4 digi 002 rack w/ xp

i install pro tools n it says it cannot find hardware . I do have everything connected right. i know that my firewire card works because i have an external firewire harddrive n that works. someone please help me i been waiting for a week now tryin to figure this out im dying i need to work on music. its all i think about cant sleep.
 
Windows XP SP2 generally needs Pro Tools v6.9 or later. I'm running 6.7 with SP1 now. I haven't upgraded to SP2 because the girl who gave me my computer apparently used a bootleg version of Windows. But I'd imagine that SP2 would need something more recent than 6.7, hence 6.9. As long as you're at it, pick up v7.1 in your local store (if you have to buy the update, that is)
