MPC Question

I want to know whether you guys go you breakdowns in the mpc or do you just do it in your recording program..ie protools or cubase?

Or if you want to add instrumentation lets say to a sample with a vst like reason or any othe.... do you just import the song from you mpc into your recording program and just add the instrumentation to your track in there?

Just try out whatever ideas you have and then see what you liked the most, there are no rules or set ways to make beats, now when it comes to mixing and mastering there are some things that just work better than others.

I do all my edits in ThaMPC.
