MPC 2KXL-Sample Trimming Issue

I hit shift+trim, zone, open window, select the amount of zones, select first zone, adjust the start and end points of my zone, edit, convert zone to sound...

After saving my zone as a new sound, I listen to the sound and lo and behold, the start and end points are way off than how I set them. What the fu*k am I doing wrong because I'm following the manual verbatim?!

I'm really starting to wonder why the hell I don't just toss this shit in Recycle and auto chop it but giving up is for assholes, right???

So you are only chopping one zone? If so don't use zone chop.
Just highlight the start and end points of the part you want, hit edit and select EXTRACT.

@ironbeatchef you probably mean either edit -> "discard" or edit -> "section > new sound". Extract is probably in the newer models?

Discard will delete everything outside the selection and section > new sound will make a new sound from your selection leaving the original one untouched.
