Can anyone school me on the TAP TEMPO feature on the 2000XL?..

I know the tap tempo but is supposed to designate a tempo for a given sample..but every time i tap it while playing a sample it goes to all crazy bpms..sometimes it will start around 70 then it will go as high as 270..can anyone help me out with how this actually works..I read the manual and not much help there..

You have to be consistant to get it close (i always still needed to tweek it). Try doing it like 8 times in a row and see if you get better results.

hit shift + other and change tap average to 4 instead of 2 that will give you a more accurate reading of the tap tempo.

There are 4 beats every bar.
Tap you tap tempo 4 times a bar.
